Lauren + Gregg

There’s something about a wedding at a family home that is extra sentimental, and we’re very much here for that. Lauren and Gregg’s Tuscan-inspired reception at Lauren’s family’s home nestled within horse pastures was no exception - we got goosebumps going back through these photos to choose what to include in this gallery. Sorry/not sorry, but there are a lot of photos because it’s actually impossible to only choose a few. That’s what happens when Anna Shackleford is your wedding photographer - you wind up with stunning images that are each as wonderful as the next!

The classic-modern invitation suite designed and calligraphed by Cami Monet were show stoppers, and featured custom artwork of olive branches and kumquats, elements included in the florals by one of our most admired ‘friend-or’, Colonial House of Flowers. Delicate additions of Blushing Bride Protea, flowering clover, classic and butterfly ranunculus, and (home-grown heirloom!) pomegranates brought Tuscany right into the South. True linens from La Tavola Fine Linen in an embroidered tile pattern provided the perfect backdrop for these shots - and for dining family-style under a sailcloth tent.

As Lauren and Gregg readied themselves for their big day, we were readying the ceremony and reception sites. Olive branches appeared to dress the backs of the guests’ seats, and bags of olive leaves were handed out to guests to toss as the happy couple recessed down the aisle.

A family wedding is really a family wedding when the honorary wedding party is all made up of parents and siblings. The attention Lauren paid to involving family members was so genuine and admirable - to say that she was a gracious bride is an understatement, and we can attest that she remains one of the most thoughtful people we know.

Cami Monet also created a signature drink sign featuring the couple’s pups - there was one drink for each, and the bartending staff of LRG Catering did not disappoint with these concoctions (they never do). The bride designed the koozies herself, and you can still find Whitney or Ashley using one lovingly around their Honeysuckle Montane.

This tent, y’all! All the Feels. After Oconee Events set up the three-peaked sailcloth tent, Colonial House of Flowers installed huge hanging arrangements to keep the tables free for the family-style meal provided by LRG Provisions. A massive square arrangement hung over the dance floor, and Tuscan touches on all of the accent tables. Soft seating from Mayker Creative provided the perfect area for guests to hang out and catch up, and Italian Cypress trees from GoHedge Portable Greenscapes finished off the whole look… as did our honored equine guests.

There were so many amazing photos from our sunset trip out to the pastures, and we’re pretty sure we heard photographer Anna Shackleford say that some of these shots were on her professional bucket list. Ours, too, lady.

After dinner, it was time to party!! Our amazing band, City Heat, kept the guests on the dance floor and even joined them there to join in the fun! And Lauren got to throw down on the mic to some Drake, her fave. This fab wedding was featured on Carats & Cake, and we’re so pleased to now share it with you!

Congratulations, Lauren and Gregg! We were honored to have a hand in this completely dreamy, super special day, and we remain honored to have made such a wonderful friend through the planning process. You and Gregg are so blessed to be surrounded by such incredible family and friends, we are forever grateful to y’all for including us.
