Often times people ask how they can save on flowers, especially for smaller budget or non-wedding events. If you're like us, you appreciate all of the beautiful colors and textures that nature reminds us of during the fall. To quote Whitney and Christy, "look no further than the curb, or your own backyard for colorful leaves, natural greenery, and seasonal flowers for a foraged centerpiece.”
Here are the steps for creating this dynamic piece!
Step 1: Select a vessel – we went with the Irving Glass Vase. The hand forged iron legs give height to the arrangement, while the found greenery gives it bulk. The height, unique shape and bulk give the piece presence, which creates humble warmth.
Step 2: Start the arrangement with greenery – in this case, the ladies used magnolia and seasonal leaves. If you are lacking access to fresh cut greenery, use faux greenery like our Live Preserved Oak Leaves.
Step 3: Add florals – bring color and symmetry to the centerpiece by sticking to two colors. Christy pulled her floral inspiration from the colors of the beautiful umbers and rusts of the florals. A similar feel could be accomplished using our Autumnal Mum Bundle.
