We love to travel and explore + create at destination locations, and this year we had the pleasure of creating some inspiration for those coastal brides out there. Along with Amanda Olivia Photography and Wayfarer Film Co, as well as some pretty amazing vendors, we travelled to the stunning Cumberland Island off the coast of Georgia. Thanks to Coastal Brides for sharing some of their favorites, we now get to share them with you! Read More
Rosalina and Doug hold a special place in my heart. I went to school with Rosalina and even had the pleasure of planning and designing her best friend, and 'Best Lady' Wenjie's wedding last year. While we only did Partial Planning for Rosie and Doug, it was still a fun experience, and we love how everything came together. Their day was definitely fun and full of love and laughter!
Nestled along the river, Ivy Hall in Roswell, Georgia was their venue location. With the leaves changing, and nature putting on a show of color, their backdrop was quintessential 'Fall vibes'. Both bride and groom wished for an organic feel to everything from the florals to the reception décor. Also, since Doug is a chef, we worked with Ginger Rose Florals to include fun aspects to their bouquet to tie in the natural herbs and greens that you might find in the culinary world as well. Last we checked, the rosemary that was tucked in with Rosalina's bouquet is still thriving in their home, and I believe that scent will always remind her of this special day.
Thanks to Carrie Joy Photography for not only capturing everything in the most perfect way, but also for being such a blast to work with. Everything ran on time, and she shot everything with a gentle spirit and kind smile behind the lens. Here are just a few highlights from this very special fall day. Read More
A real Georgia wedding, featured in Southern Weddings, Wenjie and Futhum stated their vows in front of their families who came from far and wide to witness their love for one another. Taking place at The Fernbank Museum of Natural History in Atlanta, Georgia, both Wenjie's Chinese heritage and Futhum's Eritrean could be seen in the details. While they opted for a more modern Westernized ceremony and reception, featuring culturally valuable colors and design choices, their love for each other and from their families crossed all barriers. Being a part of the entire planning process and design was absolutely a joy for us, and we wish them a very happy One Year Anniversary month! We love you two, and we wish you many many more years of adventure, laughter, growth, and love. Read More
